Courtney Lewis, a 14-year old girl studying technical design and production at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, made everyone go awe after she designed her sister’s prom dress from scratch. Courtney wanted to gift her sister Mikayla Lewis 18, her prom dress.
She designed a floor-length sequin gown, complete with back embellishments and a train. In a conversation with Good Morning America her mother said, “It was a perfect gift.
I’m especially proud of Courtney because she was swamped at school, and instead of taking rest all weekend she was working on the dress.”
When Mikayla’s senior prom was approaching, Courtney told her mom that she wanted to dress a one-of a kind gown for her sister.
Mikayla chose the fabric, and with the help of her fashion designer cousin Courtney spent about five months designing the gown and executing it.
The dress looked so beautiful, and everyone loved how amazing it turned out to be.
